Black Bean Soup
This is an idea I found over at Mark Ruins Dinner, (We’ll see if wordpress whacks a comment on his blog for this one too), and it he reckons it always tastes good, so I decided to add it to my list of things to cook and see how it goes. He didn’t list an actual recipe with measurements, so I’ve kinda guessed at what might work out well, and when I cook it, I’ll update this post with the results.
- 2 Cans of black beans
- 1 tomato
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 Hot Chilli finely chopped
- 4 Cans Water
My plan will be to whack all that in a pot and boil it up and see what happens.

Hey there! This is cool! Yes, wordpress gave me a comment linking me here. The recipe looks pretty accurate, although I usually only use 1 cup of water. We like it nice and thick, and it was originally in a cookbook paired with butternut squash soup, and they were to be served together in the same bowl. You can see it here:

I hope it turns out well.
